Internet Protocol Version 6 comes as the successor of IPV4 which will enable upto 2128 IP addresses. Currently the internet works on the IP version 4 and it enables 232 addresses. Now IPV4 is unable to fulfill the demand for IP addresses. At the time of designing IPv4 address space, no one has imagined that it will get exhausted. So the introduction of IPv6 is inevitable. IPv6 was developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Introduction of IPv6 allows more number of users and devices on internet.
